About the Job
The Inventory Planner forecasts the purchasing of products for catalog and website and manages vendor order communication
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Forecasts and purchases product, establishing shipping requirements, ensuring accuracy and auditing purchase orders.
· Actively pursues reorders, as necessary, for all product categories.
· Discontinues in season items when communication to vendor confirms item is no longer available for reorder.
· Manages Open Purchase Orders Data Report against planned shipping dates; confirms vendors will meet deadlines and communicates status or changes on delivery.
· Communicates with vendor any product receipt discrepancies including mis-ships, inaccurate counts, and product damages.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· 2 years experience in a retail or catalogue planning/buying role.
· Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Strong analytical skills.
· Computer proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a deadline oriented environment.
· Passion for excellence and pride in 100% accuracy and quality.
· A positive, can-do, proactive, take-responsibility attitude.
· Ability to embrace change as a given within a fast growing environment.
· Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

· Polished professional communication skills, both oral and written.
· Dependable and reliable attendance history.
