Job: Field Accounting Manager

A Field Accounting Manager will be required to manage other employees, multi-task, adhere to multiple deadlines and priorities, possess excellent communication skills, work under pressure, have the ability to push back respectfully and have an understanding of the accounting rules.  This is an excellent  opportunity.

Job Duties:
  • Ensure billing in Branches of Responsibility is timely
  • Review revenue trends to ensure all billing is completed
  • Provide forecasting assistance to Management Team
  • Management of quantity, quality and deadlines
  • Generate Financial reports for Management Team
  • Coordinate gathering and submission of audit support
  • Ensure accurate job costing
  • May manage Payroll, Billing and AP coordinators .
  • Suggest, oversee and implement improved administrative processes
  • Ensure accuracy and approve all accruals and re-classes prior to being submitted to Super Region for processing
  • Ensure accuracy of cost-plus billing
  • Ensure job budgets are kept up to date
  • Improve tag sales tracking
  • Assist branch managers with labor reporting and tracking
  • Perform control pay outs at the branches in their assigned area of responsibility
  • Ensure improved tracking of vacation and sick
  • Ensure clean up and ongoing maintenance of job category codes and project numbers for accurate financial review
  • Assist branch managers with annual inventory
  • Assist Branch manager with annual budgeting process
 
Job Expectations 
 
  • Responsible for ensuring good communication between the Super Region Accounting Team and the Branches to increase accuracy of branch and super branch profit and loss statements.
  • Responsible for improving  job costing in order to be able to review accurate job level reports to allow management to make informed management decisions regarding their book of business
  • Responsible for improving  the management teams’ ability to forecast future months revenue and profit )
 
Requirements
 
  • Prior experience in a business or financial position of at least 7 to 10 years
  • 4 year College Degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  •  Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience in creating change
  • Outgoing personality
