Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center has an immediate opening for an Executive Chef. Successful candidates will be someone with a self-starter attitude who can bring creativity and a strong awareness of food trends while at the same time control food cost.
The Executive Chef has direct responsibility for strategy, direction and oversight of all back of the house food operations, food served in all food outlets as well as the employee dining area. Responsible for all kitchen functions to include budgeting, scheduling, staffing & development, inventory, menu development and banquet food preparation. Tasks include ensuring the quality, safety and consistency of all food preparation within the lodge; comply with all financial goals pursuant to food cost and labor; oversee all food purchases; develop menus and recipes for kitchen staff to follow; ensure HAACP program and ServSafe are being followed at all times and ensure all health department inspections are violation free.
