Purpose/Role Statement
Provide key support role for inVentiv’s global Compliance Program fully dedicated to a major inVentiv client. In collaboration with the business, Corporate Compliance, the Legal Department and other stakeholders, and with keen customer relationship skills, provide oversight for all compliance processes related to the client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Within the scope of this client-focused compliance role, you will:
• Participate on inVentiv Commercial/client Compliance Board
• Assess and propose strategies to address cross-company client compliance needs
• Create and implement policies, procedures, processes and SOPs
• Drive training and communications
• Participate in field rides and conduct other compliance reviews; provide feedback; escalate issues as appropriate
• Develop, manage systems as needed
• Support issue resolution and investigations
• Participate in relevant compliance governance activities
• Assess business issues and recommend solutions and process improvements
• Manage day to day compliance operations, including reporting, tracking
• Assess need for, recommend, develop, drive process improvements
• Support resolution of relevant Compliance Hotline calls.
• Working with cross-functional internal partners, such as HR, Training, Legal and IT
• Provide day to day guidance related to Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
• Support client’s compliance requirements, including related to client Corporate Integrity Agreement as applicable
• Effectively partner with other compliance resources, including Corporate Compliance and business compliance teams, Legal Department attorneys and staff, Quality, Privacy resources, and the company’s businesses, toward the support and maintenance of an overall comprehensive Compliance Program
• Support compliance diligence efforts
• May engage in auditing and/or monitoring
• Provide assistance on special projects and other duties as assigned
• Act as Compliance role model and ambassador to create awareness and increase program effectiveness throughout the company
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably a Masters, JD or other advanced degree; compliance credentials a plus
At least seven years of compliance experience, at least three of which have been with a global, regulated company, preferably in the healthcare (bio/pharma/med device) industry. Strong client relationship skills.
Experience with:
• Broad-based compliance program support
• Development and implementation of compliance training programs; experience with learning systems
• Compliance communications
• Policy development and implementation
• Business process improvements/project management
• Compliance-related databases
• Interaction with regulators/agencies
• Interaction with clients; strong customer relations skills a must
• Interaction with senior management
• Managing external vendors
• Investigations; development and implementation of corrective actions
